If I were in your spot, I'd play the footage from MC to another monitor or export a little bit of the footage from MC to check it that way before going into the field order or interlaced vs. Depending on how fast the motion is, the effect seen in the computer monitor can be really bad but the footage is perfectly fine. What I've found is that it's most often seen with motion and rarely seen without motion in the footage. You're also looking at a video overlay which can also contribute to the effect. If that's the case, you may be able to use a camcorder as a passthrough to a monitor or you can just export a small section of your footage to see if what you're seeing on the computer monitor is really in the footage or not.Ĭomputer monitors and video monitors have different scan rates and pixel dimensions which can make things look as you're describing.
